Using Narra

›Does Narra write the story for me?

Narra drafts chapters; you're the author. You decide the story's design and direction, choose what each chapter should do (or ask Narra to propose it), and edit the draft into your own text. Narra's job is to give you a solid first draft and to keep the story's facts consistent.

›How do I start?

Pick a genre and, if you like, how long it should run: Short story (5 episodes), Novella (30), Medium (60), Long (100), Epic (150) or your own number from 1, and how long each episode is (standard, short or very short). Leave the length and Narra picks one that fits the story. Add one line if you have an idea; if not, Narra invents the premise. Narra designs the title, synopsis, characters and a story map paced to that length. Change anything, or ask for a new design (free), then press 🎲 and watch Episode 1 being written.

›How do I get the next episode?

Press 🎲 Let Narra write the next chapter and it decides what happens, or use ✍️ Give Narra a direction with one line ("Ji-hyeok finds his past self in the dungeon") and it builds the episode around it. Before writing, Narra shows a three-line plan: who appears, the main event and the hook.

›How does Narra remember the story?

After each episode, Narra reads it and updates the Codex: characters' levels, injuries, locations and relationships, places, items, and open plot threads. Every change is checked against a sentence in the episode before it's saved. For the next episode, Narra pulls in only what's relevant: recent episodes, current character states, the rules of your world and related earlier events.

›The Codex is wrong. How do I fix it?

Click Edit on any card and change the value; Narra marks it as set by you and treats it as fact from then on, ahead of anything it inferred. You can also undo a single change from the "Changed in Episode N" box.

›What is inline AI?

On Creator and Pro, select text in the editor to Rewrite it, make it more Dramatic, turn it into Dialogue, or give a custom instruction. You see the result before replacing anything. Up to 30 a day.

›Can I write in Korean, or switch languages later?

Choose English or 한국어 when you start a story. To move a story to the other language, use Translate in the Engine panel: Narra makes a translated copy with one fixed spelling for every name, translates the Codex, then each episode, and you can keep writing the copy in the new language. The original stays as it is.

›What content can Narra write?

Fantasy violence, romance, tension and darkness are fine. Narra doesn't write explicit sexual content (it fades to black), anything sexual involving minors, or stories about real people.

›Who owns what Narra writes?

You do. You can publish your episodes anywhere. Some platforms ask you to disclose AI assistance; checking their rules is up to you.

›Can I install Narra as an app?

Yes. On a computer, use the Install button your browser shows. On iPhone, open Narra in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.

›How do I rename or delete a story, or delete my account?

Use Rename or Delete on the story's card in Your stories, or from "Title, pen name, delete" at the bottom of its Engine panel. To delete your account and everything in it, go to your account page; any active subscription is cancelled first.

Plans and billing

›What counts as an episode?

Each time Narra writes a new episode, or translates one, it uses one episode from your allowance. Narra holds it when it starts and gives it back if writing fails, so you're never charged for an episode you didn't get. Editing, inline AI (on paid plans), plans and memory updates don't use episodes.

›Is there a free plan?

No. Every episode costs real AI time, so Narra starts with a plan. The home page shows an example episode and how the Codex keeps up; then pick Creator or Pro. You can cancel any time.

›Do unused episodes roll over?

No. Your plan's episodes refill at the start of each billing month. They have no cash value and can't be transferred or bought separately.

›Can I switch between Creator and Pro?

Yes, from your account page, and it takes effect right away. Upgrading charges the prorated difference for the rest of your billing period and adds 50 episodes now. Moving back to Creator credits the unused part of Pro toward your next bills, and this month's episodes drop by the difference.

›Is my writing used to train AI models?

No. Narra uses each AI provider's paid API, under terms where your text is not used to train their models. Your stories are yours. See the Privacy Policy for details.

›Can I get a refund?

Within 7 days of a payment, if you haven't written or translated an episode since and have made no more than 3 story designs, you get a full refund with one click on your account page. After that, the payment isn't refundable. You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the paid period.

Full details are in the Terms, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.
